Rachael Collins

EAL Teacher

BA Hons in English Literature, University of Brighton, England.

CELTA, International House Belfast.

Rachael originates from Ireland but has also lived in England, Spain and now Vietnam. In order to pursue a career in teaching, Rachael moved to Madrid, Spain, in 2014 in order to teach English as an Additional Language. During her time there, she taught a range of students using a teaching method that was designed to help students increase their agility with the language and communicate in correct English, but within a fun and dynamic learning environment.

Rachel later moved to Granada, Spain in 2016 to gain more experience and work in an official Cambridge examination centre where she prepared Young Learners of English to take the official Cambridge Examination and taught intensive courses which involved speaking, listening, reading, writing and grammar practice.

Over the summer of 2019 Rachael completed the CELTA course in order to achieve the most widely recognised qualification for teaching English as a second language. The multicultural aspect of the course inspired and motivated Rachael to teach further afield, leading to her decision to move to Vietnam in September 2019.

When not teaching, Rachael enjoys travelling, horse riding and photography.
