School Visits and Admissions Guidelines

- If you would like to visit the school please pre-book a school tour by filling in the booking form in the Contact Us section or make an appointment by calling 0283742 3222 0r 08 8800 6996. You will receive a school tour as well as receive full information about our curriculum, provision and services. You will also have the opportunity to ask many questions.

- Drop in parents will also receive a warm welcome but we would encourage you to please make an appointment if possible or you might have to wait a short while whilst we take parents around on pre-arranged tours.

- You will be asked to fill in contact details for our record purposes only. If you think you would like your child/ren to join our school we will ask you to enroll and pay for your child/ren to have 2 days’ trail lessons, where they will be assessed for their ability and readiness for school. If the child is accepted, then this payment will be deducted from the tuition fees.

- We will arrange a meeting with the Class Teacher and Head of School before the trial days for Early Years and Primary children and with the Head of School for Middle Years. If you are a parent of Early Years on Primary children, we will also ask you to supply the last progress from your child’s school (where relevant) before the trial days go ahead. Parents of Middle Years children will be asked to supply the last 2 reports plus a letter of reference from your child/ren’s last school.

- Children from Year 2 upwards may use the school bus for the trial days but we would ask Mums, Dads and carers of Early Year, Primary and Year 1 students to please drop off and pick up your children. The teachers will guide you as to how long to stay in the classroom initially and you are very welcome to wait in one of our public areas.

- Please bring your child/ren to the Admissions office at 8.30 am where they will be taken by a member of the team to the class teacher at 8.45 am. Depending on their age and individual needs mums, dads or carers may go with them too.

- On Day 1 your child/ren will enjoy the classroom and class activities with his or her new friends. On Day 2 they will spend part of the day being assessed for English, Maths and aptitude. We will focus more on a child’s potential than any current knowledge or skills so our parameters can be more flexible and broad than traditional testing.

- After the trail days we will give you feedback from the 2 trial days. Following a successful recommendation, and if you decide to go ahead, you may ask for a fee quotation at any time. You will be required to pay a deposit and your child may start 2 weeks after the enrolment has been processed and full payment has been made. The 2-week period is for the teacher to prepare and organize extra resources in readiness for your child.

- Prior to starting school, you will also be asked to produce the required documents, such as the student’s passport, and birth certificate, medical history book and 2 passport size photos.

- Once the fees have been paid the student will be given 2 sets of the formal uniform, one sports kit and one school cap.

-  Admissions will send a letter of confirmation after full payment has been made.

- We look forward to welcoming you and your child/ren to our school and hope that they will be with us for many happy years to come.
